Y Gelli has been established for over 20 years, and is situated in its own extensive grounds on the edge of Llanfairfechan, an unspoiled Victorian seaside town on the North Wales coast.

The victorian village of Llanfairfechan is conveniently situated between the university city of Bangor and the medieval town of Conwy in a picturesque setting between mountains and sea. The village has a small bustling community with a variety of shops and offers a range of activities and amenities including; European blue flag beach, nine hole golf course, bowling and croquette lawn, tennis courts, pony trekking, mountain bike trails, cycle track, bird watching and mountaineering, fishing trips, yachting, children's play area and skate park, pubs and restaurants, regular local bus services and a railway station on the main line to Chester and Holyhead.

Llanfairfechan is within close proximity of the A55 Expressway, which is now the gateway into Snowdonia, Anglesey and the port of Holyhead for easy access to Ireland.
